Ben joined Waddell & Reed as a LPL Financial Advisor in 2005 after nine years as a client. He believes that the old-fashioned values of long-term thinking, slow and steady growth potential, and sticking with the fundamentals are the keys to growing a stable financial future. Ben enjoys developing long term relationships with his clients to help them build a solid financial foundation while pursuing their ultimate goals and dreams. His clients represent all stages of life, from infants saving for college to retirees who need to maintain steady income during a difficult economic period. Many of Ben's clients are associated with the entertainment industry, which mirrors his own past as a Broadway, film and television actor.
Ben recognizes that all of us face financial challenges caused by the current once-in-a-century economic and health environment. At a time when the responsibility for individual financial well-being is increasingly pushed onto the shoulders of the private citizen, he finds great satisfaction in helping clients parse all the complex financial options available to them. His goal: to find simple, enduring solutions that will work for each client's unique circumstances and continue to offer them options in the years ahead.
Ben has frequently volunteered his services to non-profits benefiting the arts. Ben has served as President and Chair of the Financial Planning Association of California Board of Directors Although he is currently between non-profit commitments, he has previously served on the Boards of The Antaeus Theater Company in Glendale and Episcopal Communities and Services here in Pasadena, also serving as Chair of their investment committee for four years. He is the father of two adult daughters, living and working here in Los Angeles, a graduate of Brown University and originally a refugee from New York City, living in the beautiful southland now for more than 20 years.
